Free Flow, Inc. manufactures Parshall & Palmer-Bowlus Flumes to make the measuring of water flow through a channel more accurate.
The design of the Parshall flumes are make them self-scouring and provide a long service life. Additionally, they are of a maintenance free construction and precision fabricated with standardized dimensions and documented flow curves.
Palmer-Bowlus Flumes come in four construction styles, all of which are fabricated in one piece and have a minimum 1/4 inch wall thickness. Palmer-Bowlus flumes were developed for low headloss and easy installation into existing pipelines. The throat insert style is designed to be inserted into an existing pipeline and held in place with mastic, RTV silicone sealant, or other adhesive. The remaining flume designs are intended to be grouted into place with inlet and outlet of the flume even with supply and discharge pipe.
