WACO Slide Gate Systems

WACO gate frames are welded for rigidly. Two channel bench rails are welded to the top of the guide making the bench plate easy to remove without having to remove the yoke. A stainless steel operating stem is attached to the plate with an extruded aluminum connector, which in turn is bolted to the stem and welded to the plate and top stiffener. This creates a one-piece constructed element assuring trouble-free operation. WACO has two advantages over other slide gate systems: Poly-Glide: an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene plastic bearing bar used to reduce friction in the opening and closing of the gates. Aluminum Extrusion: designs that provide superior strength and performance. For tougher environments, WACO offers 300 series stainless steel fabricated gates

Aluminum use around water

The use of aluminum around water has proven to be quite efficient. Aluminum resists corrosion, is lightweight, lower in cost, uniquely strong when extruded, and requires little maintenance. WACO also provides special coatings for their aluminum products which can protect them from chemicals that may be harmful, thus allowing WACO products to be used throughout treatment systems both safely and economically.
